Urvashi Rautela is often seen grabbing the headlines for her comments on Indian cricketer, Rishabh Pant. The left-handed batter met with a horrific accident in December last year, which has led to multiple injuries. Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of action for at least the next six months, with no timeline being set for his return as of now.

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela was recently spotted at the Mumbai Airport, where she was asked to comment on Rishabh Pant’s latest post on Instagram. The Indian wicketkeeper shared an update on his injury on social media a couple of days ago. Urvashi Rautela termed Rishabh Pant as India’s pride, and wished him a speedy recovery.

Asked if she saw the cricketer’s latest social media post, “Yes, yes” and continues, “He’s an asset to our country. India’s pride.” A media person said, “Humari dua unke sath hai (our prayers are with him),” to which she replied, “Meri bhi (mine too).”

The nature of Rishabh Pant’s injuries are serious, and will need an extension period of time out on the sidelines. There are reports suggesting that the Indian cricketer could be out of action for the next 18 months. However, it is almost certain that he will miss the entire 2023 cricket season.

This means that the wicket-keeper will play no part in India’s 2023 World Cup campaign at home, and will also miss the last part of the 2021-2023 World Test Championship Cycle. The Delhi Capitals skipper will also play no part in his team’s IPL journey this season.

Rishabh Pant met with the horrific accident in late December, as he was admitted to the Max Hospital in Dehradun. Later, he was admitted to the Kokila Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai for further care. The southpaw will head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for extensive rehabilitation. He was bound to travel to the Academy to work on his fitness for two weeks, before he met with the unfortunate accident.
