“How dare you do it?”- Shoaib Akhtar slams Marcus Stoinis for accusing Mohammad Hasnain of chucking
Marcus Stoinis, Shoaib Akhtar, and Mohammad Hasnain
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar was furious after Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis accused Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain of chucking (illegal bowling action).
He shared an angry tweet slamming the Australian by writing: “Shameful gesture by @MStoinis regarding bowling action of @MHasnainPak during #TheHundred2022.”
“How dare you do such things?? OfCourse @ICC stays quiet about them. No player should be allowed to do such things if someone’s been cleared already,” Akhtar added.

Mohammad Hasnain has been accused of chucking before by the umpire
Apparently, during the ongoing Hundred match between the Southern Brave and Oval Invincibles, Stoinis was dismissed by Hasnain. When Stoinis was walking back to the pavillion, he imitated a bowling action that suggested that Hasnain was chucking. Moises Henriques finished the match with a wicket by conceding 27 runs in the 15 deliveries.
Notably, Mohammad Hasnain was accused of chucking by the umpire during the Big Bash League. He was then suspended from bowling. However, he fixed his bowling action and has been cleared to bowl from then. In the Big Bash League, Henrique was seen telling Hasnain “Nice throw mate”. He has represented Pakistan in eight ODIs and 18 T20Is.
Stoinis had scored 37 runs off 27 balls which helped Southern Brave put up a total of 137/6. Will Jacks’ ton (108 off 48 balls) helped the Invincibles chase down the target with 18 deliveries to spare.
Stoinis could face disciplinary action for that gesture on the field.
