A brilliant display of all the departments in Royal Challengers Bangalore and Wanindu Hasaranga’s impressive 5-wicket haul helped them to bundle out Sunrisers Hyderabad by 67 runs on Sunday, May 8 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
SRH failed to reach a huge target of 192 set by RCB. First, in the over of Glenn Maxwell, SRH lost Kane Williamson for a golden duck after a run and then in the last ball of the over, Maxwell sent back Abhishek for a duck.
Only Rahul Tripathi tried to revive the innings with his 58 off 37 balls by smashing 6 fours and 2 sixes. But Josh Hazelwood got rid of the batsman in the 16th over.
Aiden Markram (21), Nicholas Pooran (19), Jagadeesha Hasaranga (2), Shashank Singh (8), and Umran Malik became the prey to Wanindu Hasaranga. Hasaranga conceded 18 runs in his four overs and even bowled a maiden over. He also completes 20 wickets in IPL 2022.

When RCB were batting, Virat Kohli got dismissed for his 3rd golden duck. Faf Du Plessis yet again played a half-century knock after scoring an unbeaten 73 runs in 50 balls by smashing 8 fours and 2 sixes. Rajat Patidar missed his half-century by two runs after getting dismissed by Suchith.
Glenn Maxwell had scored 33 off 24 runs and it was Dinesh Karthik who played an incredible knock an unbeaten 30 in just 8 balls by smacking 4 sixes and a four. At last, RCB were able to set a huge target of 192/3 in their 20 overs. RCB are now occupying the fourth position on the points table with seven wins from their 12 matches.
