ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule: Check Team India’s full fixture, venues, dates, and more

The much-awaited and much-delayed schedule for the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 has been released on Tuesday (June 27), just 100 days before the start of the tournament. The showpiece event will be held in India from October 5 to November 19.
The first match of the tournament will be between last edition’s finalists- England and New Zealand- at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. Rohit Sharma and Co. will play their first match against five-time winners Australia on October 8, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, while the highly anticipated India versus Pakistan will be held on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
A total of 45 league matches will be held en route to the knockouts. Like the last edition, 10 teams will play against each other once (round-robin format), and the top four teams will qualify for the knockouts and the semifinals. Eight teams have already qualified for the tournament, while the last two teams will be decided through the Qualifier tournament which is underway in Zimbabwe.

The two-time World Cup winners India will be eyeing their third title at home. They will play their nine league matches across different venues which also includes the new Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, the semifinals will be played on 15 November in Mumbai and on 16 November in Kolkata. Only the semifinals and finals have reserve days.
