Pakistan’s new director of cricket, Mohammad Hafeez, was brought in after Pakistan’s poor performances in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Just days after Babar Azam stepped down from captaincy, the entire coaching staff and management team underwent a change. Wahab Riaz was appointed as selector, while Hafeez replaced the outgoing Mickey Arthur.

So far under Hafeez’s reign as director of Pakistan, the team has played 2 matches and lost two. After claiming Pakistan were the better side after their loss in the Boxing Day Test, Hafeez is in the news again for the wrong reason.

“All that talent, and now even the Aussie airlines are out to get him!”
