“I’m now part of elite company”- Jemimah Rodrigues compares herself to MS Dhoni & Virat Kohli by recreating this iconic meme
MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Jemimah Rodrigues
India women batter Jemimah Rodrigues recreated the iconic meme that featured MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. During the semi-final match of the Commonwealth Games 2022 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, Rodrigues found herself stretching her back leg to help her save from stumping. That time, she wasn’t aware that she will become a part of the iconic meme which began with Dhoni and then Kohli joined in.
She took to Twitter to share the meme which has both Dhoni and Kohli and her picture. She wrote this caption: “Looks like I’m now part of Elite company”.

Jemimah Rodrigues is participating in The Hundred
Rodrigues wasn’t part of the World Cup this year as she didn’t get the ticket to New Zealand. But she slowly became a consistent batter in T20Is and knock became one of the reason why India ended up playing the Commonwealth Games 2022 final.
Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 56 runs against Barbados Women, which helped the team reach the semi-final. Then in the semi-final, while opener Smriti Mandhana smashed the fastest fifty by an Indian batter, Rodrigues too contributed with an unbeaten 44 runs off 31 balls. In the finals, she had scored 33 runs against Australia but that didn’t help as India ended up in the losing side.
The 21-year-old batter is currently participating in The Hundred for Northern Superchargers. Rodrigues was also the second-highest run-scorer in women’s Hundred last year as she scored 249 runs in seven appearances.
