The cricket world loves to discuss and compare players. From choosing a Fab Four amongst the modern-day batters to narrowing it down to who is the best batter, comparing cricketers won’t stop it seems.

Two batters in the world, Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, when they bat, grab the attention of the fans because their numbers on the field would give them stats to compare who is the better between them as the cricket world is divided when it comes to who is the best contemporary batter. From what records Kohli has scripted are being broken by the newcomers, including Babar.

His continuous rise over the last couple of years is making many feel that the Pakistan skipper will soon break and rewrite many records of Kohli. The debate over who is better than the other will keep continuing amongst the fans, including notable people from the cricket fraternity. Now former Pakistan captain Imran Khan gave his verdict over who is better. Khan said that though both belong to the same class, the 28-year-old can break the former Indian captain’s record.

“I haven’t recently seen cricket, but I believe that Virat Kohli and Babar Azam belong to the same class. Babar Azam can surpass Virat Kohli; he is that good, from what I have seen,” Khan told local journalists as per Hindustan Times.

Despite the hot debate between fans on who is the best, the two cricketers Virat Kohli and Babar Azam share a good rapport on and off the field. During Kohli’s lean-patch years, Babar extended his support on social media with that famous “This too shall pass. Stay Strong” tweet.

Then in an interview during the 2022 Asia Cup, Kohli heaped praise on Babar Azam. “Babar is a very nice guy. I have always had good conversations with him. I am not sure about kinship since he is much younger to me, but there is respect. There is always respect.”
