India have a packed schedule in 2024, with a T20 World Cup and Tests against all SENA nations.

India goes into 2024 as runners-up of the World Cup and World Test Championship, losing both to Australia. They did win the 2023 Asia Cup and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but ended the year with an innings loss to South Africa.
The year saw the rise of Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj, with their performances showcasing their skills. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and Mukesh Kumar were some of the rising stars from India, while older players like Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar lost their places.
India play their first match on 3rd January against South Africa in the final Test of the series. They will be touring the countries of Sri Lanka and Australia, but host England, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Afghanistan. They will play a total of 15 Tests, 3 ODIs and 9 T20s, excluding the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Indian Premier League 2024 (March to May)
The Indian Premier League is expected to start by 22nd March, just a few days after the 5th Test finishes. The finals will be played by the end of May. The schedule of the tournament is yet to be announced.
2024 ICC T20I World Cup (June)
India will be traveling to the West Indies and USA to participate in the 2024 T20 World Cup. It will begin on 4th June and finish by 30th June. India’s matches are yet to be announced.
India tour of Sri Lanka (July)
The schedule is not announced yet, but India will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.
Bangladesh tour of India (September to October)
The schedule is yet to be announced, but India will play 2 Tests and 3 T20Is. It’ll be India’s 2nd home Test series in the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle.
New Zealand tour of India (October to November)
The schedule is yet to be announced, but there will be 3 Tests and 3 T20Is. This will be India’s last home series in the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy (November to December)
India will travel to Australia to participate in the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy. The fixtures have not been decided, but it will be the first time there will be 5 Tests played.
