India pacer Ishant Sharma who was ousted from the Test setup a couple of years back is set to return to action with the India vs West Indies Test series. The veteran pacer who represented India in 105 Test matches claiming 311 wickets got an unceremonious exit as the BCCI Selection Committee deemed Sharma did not fit in the scheme of things and hence was asked to leave.
Nevertheless, the pacer took the Indian cricket board’s decision with a good heart and now is set to make a return after he has gotten a chance. Ishant Sharma will be returning to action after staying put for a while.
However, it won’t be on the field. Sharma will be making his commentary debut during India vs West Indies Test series. The 34-year-old will be giving his insights during the two-match Test series from the commentary box on JioCinema. The OTT platform announced Sharma’s inclusion in the commentary panel on Sunday.
“Ishant Sharma, whose only 10-wicket haul in Tests came against the #WestIndies – will be in our comm box for India’s upcoming series!” tweeted JioCinema. Sharma will be commentating in Hindi.
