Team India will look to script history during their tour to South Africa

As Team India are all set to travel to South Africa for a full-fledged series, they will aim to script history by winning a Test series. India have never won a Test series in South Africa in eight attempts. In fact, India have won a total of four Tests so far against South Africa in the latter’s backyard.

On their last tour to the Rainbow Nation, India won the first Test but lost the last two Tests and missed out on a chance to script history. It was the same series when Virat Kohli gave up on India’s Test captaincy.

Nevertheless, now with Rohit Sharma at the helm of affairs, India will hope to break the jinx and claim a series win in South Africa. However, it will be interesting to see if Sharma retains his place as India’s Test skipper or if a new captain will be handed the responsibility to lead India in their second series of the new World Test Championship cycle.

In case you missed!
