Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli unknowingly sparked controversy with his recent Instagram post. Kohli, who is currently preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, victoriously posted his 17.2 Yo-Yo test score on Instagram. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was not happy with Virat Kohli‘s innocuous act.
The BCCI responded quickly and reminded all the team India players of the confidential nature of such information. They warned against sharing their own fitness test results on social media, citing legal constraints as the reason.
As per a report by The Indian Express, A BCCI representative clarified, “Players have been instructed verbally to refrain from posting any confidential information on social media.” They are permitted to post pictures during training, but uploading a score constitutes a breach of contract.”
As the national team engages in a five-day training camp in Alur, Karnataka, in preparation for the crucial Asia Cup, while fans appreciate the insights shared by their cricketing idols, it appears that certain aspects of a player’s life, particularly contractual matters, must remain private.
