After tying the five-match Test series against England 1-1, India are gearing up for the third Test in Rajkot, scheduled for February 15. Team India arrived in Rajkot and received a grand welcome at Sayaji Hotel.

The hotel director, Urvesh Purohit, told Aaj Tak that they have made special arrangements for the players, like allocating skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul suites with a Saurashtra heritage theme which is different from the Western-themed rooms. The players will also be served special Kathiyawadi foods.

The menu includes food items like Thepla, Gathiya, Jalebi-Fafda, Khman, and Khakra for breakfast. For dinner, there will be special Kathiyawadi food like Dahi Tikari, Vagherela Rotlo (Bajra Roti fried with yogurt and garlic), and Khichdi Kadhi.

The hotel director also revealed that Indian players love the Kathiyawadi food. He added that Rahul, Hardik Pandya, and even MS Dhoni love Khichdi Kadhi.

Ian Chappell says selectors have stopped overestimating Shreyas Iyer’s batting abilities

Ahead of the squad announcement, there were speculations that Shreyas Iyer was dropped due to his poor form, but some reports stated Iyer wasn’t included due to injury. Former Australia cricketer Ian Chappell thinks it’s wise to exclude Iyer from the Test squad after his consistent failures with the bat.

Hopefully, the selectors will now stop overestimating Shreyas Iyer's batting ability and learn to value Kuldeep Yadav's wicket-taking capability more. Ben Stokes' aggressive approach to captaincy may have failed to claim victory in a hard-fought second Test, but the five-match series against India is still wide open at 1-1.
Chappell wrote in his column for ESPNcricinfo

Iyer scored just 35 and 13 runs in the first Test in Hyderabad. In Vizag, he added 27 and 29 runs to the scoreboard.
