India’s two young and talented bowlers Chetan Sakariya and Mukesh Chaudhary are set to take part in Queensland’s KFC T20 Max tournament in Australia this year. Sakariya, who played for Delhi Capitals this year will join Sunshine Coast while Wynnum-Manly signs Chaudhary, who represented the Chennai Super Kings this year.

The official Twitter handle of Queensland Cricket announced the same on Friday afternoon.
“HUGE! Two IPL quicks have signed for KFC T20 Max! @Sakariya55 from @DelhiCapitals has played 41 T20s, including an ODI and T20Is for India. Mukesh Chaudhary from @ChennaiIPL has played 25 T20Is and claimed 32 scalps,” they wrote in their Twitter.

The series will help Sakariya and Chaudhary to improve their abilities and skills. They will learn to adjust their line and length according to the pace and bounce condition on the pitch in Australia’s varied conditions.

Chetan Sakariya has made his name while playing against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. He has also represented India in ODI and two T20I matches.

While Mukesh Chaudhary played a big part in the absence of regular pacer Deepak Chahar (who got ruled out due to injury) for the CSK. He was given the responsibility to bowl with a new ball and in 13 matches, he scalped 16 wickets which also made him the second-highest wicket-taker for the four-time IPL champions.

The Indian duo will train at the Bupa National Cricket Centre and also join the Queensland Bull’s pre-season preparations. As per the tournament, both the pacers, Sakariya and Chaudhary will spend time in Brisbane next month because of an exchange with the MRF Pace Academy. Notably, the player and coaching exchanges between MRF Pace Academy and Cricket Australia have been taking place for more than 20 years. Covid-19 paused this exchange and it will resume now.
