Mohammed Shami enjoyed a stellar rise in his professional career, but he continues to have problems in his personal life, all due to his strained relationship with his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. Recently, Shami appeared for an interview with News18 and talked about various topics.

Shami’s wife accused him of adultery and domestic violence and, since 2018, they have been living separately. They got married in 2014. In 2023, the cricketer received bail for the domestic abuse case.

The couple, however, shares a daughter, Aaira Shami. But due to the strained relationship, Shami gets the chance to speak with his daughter only once in a while when Hasin allows it.

Who doesn't miss their kids and family? Obviously, there are situations where not everything is in your hands. But if you ask me if I miss her (daughter), no one can leave their own blood.
Shami told News18 when asked about his daughter
Whatever is going on between her mother and me, that shouldn't matter. I make sure that she is living a healthy life.
He added

Mohammed Shami has a pretty decent record against Pakistan. So when he was asked by the News 18 anchor that the cricketer tends to bash Pakistan a lot, Shami said it’s in his blood to bash Pakistan.

Shami also criticized former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza for his bizarre claim that India played with a different ball during the 2023 ODI World Cup. The 33-year-old said he would never understand why some people feel jealous of the successes of others and end up making outrageous claims.

Shami is currently out of cricketing duties due to an injury on his heel. He is not part of the high-voltage five-match Test series against England.
