IPL 2023 match schedule, venue, time, and teams details announced
This season, the matches will be played all across the country, unlike the last edition where they were played across just four Indian cities.

IPL 2023 schedule
The wait is over as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the official schedule of the upcoming 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday (February 17). Like the previous season, the 16th edition of the cash-rich league will see 10 teams clashing against each other. This season will see an “Impact Player” who is expected to be a game changer.
A total of 74 matches will be played this season with the first match between Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans set to be the curtain raiser on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
This season, the matches will be played all across the country, unlike the last edition where they were played across just four Indian cities. The 70 league-stage matches will take place across 12 venues over the course of 52 days.
The Walt Disney Company India-owned Star won the media rights for a staggering INR 48, 390 crore, making IPL the second-most-expensive sporting event in the world (it’s now just after the National Football League). Viacom18 clinched digital rights for INR 23,758 crore.

A total of 80 players were sold in the event with all the franchises spending INR 167 crore on them.
There will be 18 doubleheaders in IPL 2023. The day games will start at 3:30 PM IST, while the evening games will start at 7:30 PM IST. The BCCI is yet to announce the schedule and venues for the Playoffs and Final. The summit clash will be on May 28, 2023.
