Many complain that the attention span of the current generation is decreasing, which is why cricket lovers started preferring a shorter format instead of Test cricket or ODIs. When T20 cricket was announced, it brought a revolution and since then there has been no stopping its popularity.
Many claim that the Indian Premier League (IPL) helped cricket become a global sport. Thanks to its success, countries from across the world have started launching their cricket leagues.
And then came the T10 leagues. And if some reports are to be believed, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are planning to start a T10 league this year, which Lalit Modi thinks will be a doomsday.
From the details I am hearing from you, the T10 league seems to be a tournament in which there will be an international club format. If I am right, it will be completely doomsday from day one. Because there isn't an ICC T10 tournament, all the members don't have a T10 format.

Lalit Modi thinks ODI should die
Fans and even cricketers have started losing interest in ODI cricket. Sachin Tendulkar has spoken about it, and Ravi Shastri made suggestions for a rule change in the format to make it more interesting. Some current cricketers like Ben Stokes, Quinton de Kock, Naveen-ul-Haq, etc. chose to retire from ODIs to focus on T20 and Test cricket.
Lalit Modi thinks ODIs should die. He wants people to focus only on Test and T20 cricket. The former IPL chairman also thinks that another format of cricket will be detrimental to cricket and that he would have started another T20 league if there is a window available.
