The Pakistan Cricket Board had lodged a complaint to the ICC alleging the crowd’s conduct in the India-Pakistan match on 14th October in the Narendra Modi Stadium was improper. The crowd was hostile towards the Pakistan team and Mickey Arthur had also commented on the same. In response to these complaints, Irfan Pathan spoke about his experience of playing in Pakistan.
In the nine years Irfan Pathan played for India, he had traveled to Pakistan in 2004 and 2006. He’s played 10 ODIs and 6 Tests in Pakistan. While commentating on Star Sport, he spoke out about the time he was hit by a projectile in Peshawar. “We were playing a game in Peshawar, a fan suddenly threw an iron nail at me which struck under my eye. We never made an issue out of that and always appreciated their hospitality. Pakistan should stop making issues on crowd behavior in India,” said Pathan.
It has been reported by Press Trust of India that the ICC won’t take any action against PCB’s complaint. Many Pakistan fans and ex-players have been critical of the BCCI as many of them have not received their visas to travel to India yet. Many journalists have not gotten their visas as well.

As the PCB confirmed that it was going to lodge complaints to the ICC regarding the Ahmedabad crowd and the visa situation, former Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria spoke in support of India. Kaneria has been open about how he was mistreated in the past because of his religion.
He asked how Zainab Abbas was allowed to tweet against India and Hinduism, how Mickey Arthur was allowed to call an ICC event a BCCI event and how Mohammad Rizwan was allowed to perform Namaz on the pitch. He called out the PCB for finding faults in others and not in themselves.
