Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan leaves no stone unturned when it comes to mocking Pakistan after their failures in important tournaments and especially their defeat to India. After Babar Azam and Company got eliminated from the continental tournament following a loss to Sri Lanka, Pathan took to X (formerly Twitter) to take a dig at Pakistan.
Pathan wrote that playing a final against Sri Lanka is far better than playing against Pakistan so that the match doesn’t become a dull one-sided one. “Playing finals against Sri Lanka will be better for team India as it won’t be a one sided affair,” wrote Pathan on X.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka played their last Super Four match against each other and the winner of the match would meet India on Sunday (September 17) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Until the last ball, the winner of the match was difficult to predict as Sri Lanka needed two runs from the last ball. But they chased down the total and won the match by two wickets to the distress of the Pakistanis.
Irfan Pathan mocked Pakistan after record 228-run defeat to India
Irfan Pathan has often taken a dig at Pakistan with his “Padosiyo (neighbors)” remark. When India defeated Babar Azam’s men in the Super Four stage by a huge 228 runs by bundling them out for a mere 128 runs, Pathan joined the bandwagon to roast the neighbors by writing: “Khamoshi chaai hui hain kaafi lagta hain padosiyo ne Tv ke sath sath mobile bhi tod diye hain… (There is a lot of silence, it seems that the neighbors have broken the mobile phones along with the TV…)“.

Pathan will be roasted heavily by the Pakistani fans if India fail to defeat Sri Lanka in the final. During last year’s Asia Cup, India got knocked out of the tournament and Pakistan and Sri Lanka met in the summit clash where Dasun Shanaka‘s men thrashed Babar Azam and Co. by 23 runs.
