Ishan Kishan took break due to mental fatigue but seen in Dubai “PARTYING”, dropped from Afghanistan T20Is on disciplinary grounds

Ishan Kishan recently pulled out of the South Africa Test series, citing mental fatigue from traveling too much. Wanting to play the white ball matches, he was rested for the tour. Now he has been dropped from the Afghanistan series as he was seen partying in Dubai.ย
Kishan has been in almost every Indian squad since the start of the year, practicing and traveling every week. Just days after Indiaโs ODI World Cup loss, India hosted Australia for a 5-match T20I series. Kishan wanted a break from that but was denied.

The wicketkeeper wanted to take a break from the white ball series in the South Africa tour but was once again denied. When he once again communicated that he wanted to rest. He was sent home before the Test series, with KS Bharat replacing him.ย
Now when it came to the T20 Series with Afghanistan, the keeper was ready to return after his rests, but he was dropped. According to reports by The Indian Express, the BCCI were unhappy when they found out he was partying in Dubai during his brotherโs birthday.ย
He told the team management that he has mental fatigue because he had been on the road continuously and wanted to spend time with his family back home. Instead, he chose to travel to Dubai and was seen partying.BCCI source told The Indian express
As of now no one knows if he will be a part of the India series with England. KL Rahul kept the wickets against South Africa and in the ODI World Cup, so it is assumed that he will be a part of the squad.
Shreyas Iyer made to play Ranji Trophy before England Tests
Shreyas Iyer did not have a good South Africa tour. In the 4 innings he batted, he only scored 41 runs, with the highest being 31. Unhappy with his form, he was dropped from the T20I squad. The selectors sent him to play in the Ranji trophy to prepare for the upcoming England series with Mumbai. They host Andhra Pradesh on 12th January and travel to Thiruvananthapuram to play Kerala on the 19th.

India and Afghanistan play a 3-match T20I series before the Test series with England. It is their last T20 series before the 2024 T20I World Cup as well, with the players next playing T20s in the 2024 IPL.
