“Unlucky Ishan Kishan” – Fans troll Mumbai Indians opener as he gets out in bizarre fashion

Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan, Mumbai Indians’ opener is probably the unluckiest cricketer on this planet right now. The way he was dismissed while playing against Lucknow Super Giants will justify the statement. Mumbai Indians are playing their match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, April 24.

Chasing a target of 169 runs, MI top order batters again struggled just like in their previous games. Even though Rohit Sharma would get some runs under the belt, he slowly scored 39 off 31 balls by hitting boundaries here and there. But for MI’s another opener Ishan Kishan, the story remained the same.

Ishan Kishan was looking for some loose balls. But for him, it’s unfortunate the way he was dismissed. This happened in the 8th over. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi bowled a googly and the ball hit the bottom edge of the bat and fell onto the hands of Jason Holder at slips.

Ishan Kishan even started walking before the bowler asking for the wicket. Ishan Kishan keeps faltering after two half-centuries to start IPL 2022.

“I have been a batter and that’s part and parcel of the game. I will be concerned when they are not hitting the ball well or if they don’t have the confidence but both of them have been batting well out there in the middle and in the nets,” Mahela Jayawardene said.

Meanwhile, LSG’s KL Rahul scored a brilliant 103 runs off 62 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes. He was helped by Manish Pandey on the other side. Manish Pandey scored 22 off 22 balls with a six. But a ball from Pollard sent him back to the dressing room. Other players Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni scored 10 and 14 respectively.

Riley Meredith and Kieron Pollard took 2 wickets each whereas Daniel Sams, Jasprit Bumrah scalped 1 wicket each.
