India are playing with two debutants in the first Test against the West Indies. Two left-handers in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ishan Kishan are set to bat for India in the second innings.

Ishan Kishan has walked into the side in place of KS Bharat who was picked owing to first-choice keeper, Rishab Pant’s absence. Bharat has scored mere 129 runs in his 5 Tests for India at an average of 18.42. The 29-year-old has been a decent wicketkeeper in Tests and has yet not managed to wow with his performance with the bat or behind the stumps.

Ishan Kishan being picked ahead of KS Bharat was not received well by fans. This decision from the Indian team management was massively slammed by Twitterati as they felt Bharat deserved more chances moving ahead.

Fans heavily questioned Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma’s collective decision of letting the 24-year-old make his Test debut as they are not convinced with his red ball efforts thus far. Indian fans called this move ‘unfair.’ Take a look at some of the reactions.

Though fans are majorly disappointed with and in no favor of Ishan Kishan and his Test debut, Team India will hope that their wicket-keeper woes in the absence of Rishab Pant will be solved by the debutant lefty and that he comes good in the two Tests.
