“Kinda sad”- Netizens feel bad as Jasprit Bumrah gets Player of the Match award despite Yashasvi Jaiswal’s maiden double century

On 5th February, India bowled out England for 292 runs to win the 2nd Test match of the ongoing Test series. Electing to bat first India scored a massive 396 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring a double century. They then bowled out England for 253, with Jasprit Bumrah picking up six wickets using reverse swing.
In the 2nd innings, Jaiswal didn’t score much, but Shubman Gill did score a century to give India a lead of 398 runs in the 2nd innings. India then bowled out England in the 2nd innings, winning the match by 106 runs. Bumrah picked up three wickets, including the final wicket of the game thanks to his smart bowling change-ups.

While Jaiswal did score 209, Bumrah picked up the Player of the Match award for his incredible game with the figures of 9/91. It was his third five-wicket haul against England and his 2nd fifer in India. Out of the 10 Test fifers he has taken, only two have been taken in home conditions. With this win, Rohit Sharma also became the first Asian captain to beat Bazball in a Test match.
Fans can’t help but agree with Jasprit Bumrah’s Player of the Match
Many fans felt a bit bad but agreed with the decision to give Jasprit Bumrah the Player of the Match award, saying he was the difference between the two teams. They further stated that he and Jaiswal were India’s best players and deserved all the plaudits they got. They also praised Gill for his century.

The third Test will be played in Rajkot on 15th February, a stadium which has produced great spinning tracks. India will have KL Rahul, but not much is known about the return of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.
