As per the sources within the BCCI, elite pacer Jasprit Bumrah now poses a significant threat to Hardik Pandya‘s vice captaincy in the T20 Internationals.
Everyone is captivated by Jasprit Bumrah returning to international cricket against Ireland during the ongoing T20I series. His careers as a Test captain in 2022 and ODI vice captain during the South Africa tour have given him an experience advantage.
A source from the BCCI stated, “In terms of leadership seniority, Bumrah is superior to Pandya. Don’t be astonished if Bumrah is named Rohit Sharma’s deputy for both the Asia Cup and the World Cup.”
Hardik Pandya has demonstrated his leadership abilities by steering the Gujarat Titans to IPL supremacy in 2022 and a strong runner up finish in 2023.
