“A complete team effort”- Jasprit Bumrah’s fifer goes vain as KKR bundle out Mumbai for 113
Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, and Pat Cummins
The target of 165 with Jasprit Bumrah’s five-wicket haul must have ease out the Mumbai dug-out before their innings but who knew that MI’s situation will be far worse than Kolkata as they got bundle out for a mere 113 runs and so KKR defeat them by a big margin of 52 runs on Monday, May 9 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
When Jasprit Bumrah’s form returned after 10 matches, Rohit Sharma’s bad form continued in this match too as he scored 2 runs off 6 balls as Tim Southee sent him back in the first over itself.

Pat Cummins bags 3 wickets
But Ishan Kishan played a half-century knock of 51 off 43 balls by hitting 5 fours and a six before giving his wicket to Pat Cummins.
In the 15th over, Cummins bowled a shorter one on the middle and Kishan tried to pull it but got a got edge. The ball skyed towards the backward square leg and it fell onto the hands of Rinku Singh. And so, it was all disappointment for the ‘Hitman’ Rohit Sharma again. Other batsmen contributed just trifle runs. Rinku Singh scored 12 off 16, Tim David scored 13 off 9, Kieron Pollard scored 15 off 16.
As it was Jasprit Bumrah who had rattled KKR’s innings, it was Pat Cummins who got 3 wickets and conceded 22 runs. But the most important wickets were taken by Andre Russell who sent back David and Rinku.
Southee and Varun Chakravarthy picked up one wicket each.
Also Jasprit Bumrah won the Player of the Match award and so an MI player gets the Player of the Match award in defeat for the first time in IPL history.
