“India can go to hell,” Javed Miandad unleashes another scathing attack on BCCI, wants PCB to take a firm stance by refusing to send Pakistan to India
His statement came after the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) approved Pakistan's 'hybrid model' which says India will play their matches in Sri Lanka during the 2023 Asia Cup.

Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has always been critical of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not sending their players to Pakistan for matches. And during the ongoing tussle between the two nations over the hosting rights of the 2023 Aisa Cup and the venues for the 2023 ODI World Cup, the Pakistan great unleashed a fresh attack on the Indian cricket board for its firm stance on not sending players to Pakistan to play matches.
Javed Miandad’s statement came after the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) approved Pakistan’s ‘hybrid model’ which says India will play their matches in Sri Lanka during the 2023 Asia Cup. Miandad protested and said Pakistan also shouldn’t visit India for the ODI World Cup.
“Pakistan has been to India in 2012 and even in 2016 now it is the turn of the Indians to come here,” said Miandad said reporters via Hindustan Times. “If I had to make a decision, I would never go to India to play any match, even the World Cup. We are always ready to play them (India) but they never respond in the same manner. Pakistan cricket is bigger…we are still producing quality players. India can go to hell!”
Notably, India last toured Pakistan in 2008, while their last bilateral series took place in 2012-13 when Pakistan toured India.
Pakistan expected to play India in Ahmedabad
Though the International Cricket Council (ICC) has not announced the original schedule for the ODI World Cup, Pakistan are expected to lock horns with India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15. But the venue itself invited protests from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as they stated that sending their players to Ahmedabad requires the Pakistan government’s permission.
Pakistan’s analytical team also accused India of intentionally choosing venues that will prove challenging for Babar Azam and Co. to adapt themselves by citing pitch conditions, practice facilities, and travel arrangements. And that is why, its analytical team has suggested the spin-friendly Chennai venue for the team’s match against Australia instead of Afghanistan because the latter country possesses world-class spinners.
