England pacer Jofra Archer expressed a desire to take a women cricketer’s autograph as the player shared pictures from her headshot session. As West Indies women’s cricketer, Hayley Matthews shared pictures from her headshot session ahead of the Ireland series on Instagram, Archer left a comment on the post and sought Matthew’s autograph. 

“Can I get your autograph?” asked Archer in the comments section. This comment from the world’s renowned cricketer left Matthews puzzled but she gave an interesting reply to Archer.

The West Indies all-rounder played a UNO reverse on Archer and asked if she could get the England cricketer’s autograph. “Can I get your autograph?” asked Matthews while replying to Archer.

Jofra Archer and Hayley Mattews go a long way back!

Jofra Archer and Hayley Matthews are really good friends and this should not come as a surprise, considering the two cricketers grew up in Barbados. In fact, Matthews and Archer have played alongside as well as against each other. The West Indies all-rounder mentioned facing Archer when she was 15 and playing for her school. 

Matthews also revealed how the two still keep in touch despite their busy schedule. The West Indies all-rounder said that she stays at Archer’s whenever she is in England.

It is also worth mentioning that despite the fact that the two cricketers represent different nations now, Archer and Matthews are still connected by a thread as they are a part of the same franchise. While Archer represents Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, Hayley Matthews also plays for MI in the Women’s Premier League. 

Notably, this is not the first time Archer and Matthews have been involved in an online banter. The two keep pulling each other’s legs on social media back and forth. For example, Archer teased Matthews during the course of WPL 2023 by calling her favorite football club, Arsenal “crap”. Meanwhile, Matthews gave a savage response.
