With a brilliant knock of 67, Jos Buttler saved Rajasthan Royals’ innings when every other batsman failed miserably to score runs against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, April 30 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Royals has set a target of 158/6 to Mumbai.

Talking about the match, Mumbai won the toss and opted to bowl first. Then came in RR opener and Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler who first played a very slow game because on the other side wicket kept falling. But after his half-century, he played some incredible shots before giving his wicket to Hrithik Shokeen.

In this match, fans have seen some spectacular back-to-back big shots from Jos Buttler. In 16th over, when Shokeen came in to deliver, the first fall had gone for a six. The next six in the next ball completed Buttler’s fifty and the next two balls were also gone for huge hits. Young Shokeen was under pressure by four huge sixes in a row by Jos Buttler. But Shokeen came back by giving no run and he had the last laugh after he got ride of the dangerous Jos Buttler.

The ball was and Buttler tried to whack it over long off. It took the bottom half of the bat and lobbed up in the air towards long off. Suryakumar Yadav there took a simple catch to end an excellent knock from Buttler. Buttler had scored 67 off 52 runs by smashing 5 fours and 4 sixes.

The other RR opener Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed for 15 off 15 with 3 fours. Sanju Samson scored 16 off 7 balls with 2 sixes while Shimron Hetmyer scored just 6 runs in 14 balls. Ravichandran Ashwin played the role of a finisher by smashing 3 fours and a six, scoring 21 runs in 9 balls was dismissed in the last over by Riley Meredith.

Shokeen and Meredith bagged 2 wickets each and Daniel Sams and Kumar Kartikeya picked 1 wicket each. MI have lost all of their 9 matches and are currently placed last on the points table.
