The Kieron Pollard – Dwayne Bravo banter has been an ongoing story ever since the duo faced off in the IPL for their respective teams. The frenemies continued this camaraderie even in Major League Cricket where Kieron Pollard is captaining the MI New York side and DJ Bravo is playing as a bowler for the Texas Super Kings.
After the Qualifier 2 match where MI New York beat the Texas Super Kings by 6 wickets to enter the final, Kieron Pollard recreated an old send-off that DJ Bravo gave to him way back in the 2012 season of the IPL. Bravo had enacted an airplane taking off, signaling Pollard to catch a flight home after the latter was dismissed by Bravo in the Eliminator.
This time around Kieron Pollard recreated that gesture towards DJ Bravo after MI New York beat the Texas Super Kings in the qualifier, signaling DJ Bravo and his team to catch a flight home. Take a look at the full video.
Kieron Pollard’s MI New York march into maiden Major League Cricket final
The first season of Major League Cricket will see Kieron Pollard-led MI New York take on Wayne Parnell-led Seattle Orcas in the final. MI NY beat TSK by 6 wickets to enter the final and SEO had also beat TSK in the qualifier earlier to secure a place in the final.
The final is set to take place on 31st July at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas where the first-ever Major League Cricket champion will be crowned. Mumbai Indians fans would be delighted to see their USA-counterpart win and dominate the tournament just like the MI side has done in the IPL.
