Indian star all-rounder Krunal Pandya and wife Pankhuri announced the birth of their first child, a boy, on Sunday, July 24. The couple toook to their social media platforms to inform the fans about their son, whom they named ‘Kavir’.

‘Kavir Krunal Pandya,’ wrote Krunal on his post on Twitter and Instagram and this has garnered more 1,00,000 likes on Instagram. See the post below:

Apart from Krunal’s brother Hardik Pandya, several other members from the cricket community have congratulated the couple. Hardik posted a story on Instagram with the caption, ‘Love for you babies’ while tagging both of them.

Hardik’s wife Natasha Stankovic, Krunal’s Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul, Sachin Tendulkar‘s daughter Sara Tendulkar among many have wished them.

The couple got married in 2017 in December after dating for more than a year. They once revealed that after a Man of the Match performance for Mumbai Indians in the finals in IPL 2017, Krunal proposed her.

Krunal was last seen in action during the IPL 2022 while representing LSG. It was also for the first time that Krunal had played for a team other than Mumbai Indians. He had played a crucial role in helping Rohit Sharma-led MI win three trophies in IPL.

Both Krunal and Hardik were released by the MI franchise and while Krunal was brought by LSG, Hardik was made the captain of Gujarat Titans (GT). Both the franchises were the new addition to the already existing eight franchises. GT won the IPL 2022 title in its maiden season.

Krunal played his last match for India against Sri Lanka last year. Right now, he isn’t included in the Men in Blues’ team in any formats. But he will represent the Royal London Club for English County Warwickshire next month.
