Kuldeep Yadav gave an epic reply to a reporter’s question after the end of the third day of play of the first Test match against Bangladesh. A reporter asked the Indian cricketer if Bangladesh can still win the game despite India posting a mammoth target of 513.

Kuldeep replied by stating that he wouldn’t personally want that to happen. He pointed out that anything can happen in cricket and if someone gets a 300 then why not. The spinner also revealed India’s main goal for the fourth day, which is obviously to get the hosts out as early as possible.

“I personally don’t want them to!,” he said in a press conference, which left everyone in the room in splits. “It’s cricket. If someone gets a 300, then probably! We will try to bowl them out as early as possible. That’s our main goal for tomorrow,” the chinaman concluded.

Kuldeep Yadav made a sensational return to Test cricket after being away from action for almost two years. He registered his career-best figure in the first innings, which helped India bundle out Bangladesh for just 150. He picked up five wickets in 16 overs, giving away only 40 runs.

When asked about how he felt about his return, Yadav said that he never felt like he was out for a gap of almost two years. “Kahne ke liye toh do saal hain par mujhe kabhi feel hi nahi huwa (It might be nearly two years (22 months) but I never felt it that way,” he said with a smile.

Unlike the first innings, Bangladesh got off to a good start with both of their openers showing solidity at the top. They ended the third day at 42 for no loss. However, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that India are in the front seat. The visitors have 470 runs to spend in two entire days to pick up 10 wickets.
