Hong Kong had so far hindred India’s innings to move fast before Suryakumar Yadav entered the field. The No. 2 batter in T20I dsiplayed his destructive form to propel India’s innings to 193.

The Dubai pitch wasn’t favourable for the batters but it wasn’t the case for Suryakumar. He came, smashed back to back fours off the first two balls he faced and the rest is history. The watchers of the game were happily enjoying his knock. The sixes he smashed one after the other, sending perplexity among the Hong Kong team.

Smacking six fours and the same number of sixes, Suryakumar scored a quick and unbeaten 68 runs from just 26 balls at a strike rate of 260. Even Kohli was impressed with him, bowed down to him in absolute respect.

Kohli on the other hand was rather slow in scoring his 31st half-century but nevertheless, it was equally an important knock for him knowing how this talismanic Indian batter was going through previously. He scored an unbeaten 59 runs from 44 balls that garnered him praises from all sides including former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi.

Shahid Afridi stated how he switched on the screen to watch Virat Kohli‘s batting but suddenly he was amazed to watch Suryakumar Yadav enterting the field and from the very start, attacked the opposition.

“Yes I saw it in the limited time I got. I sat to watch Virat’s batting. He was playing slowly as he knew how importantr this innings was for him. It opposition doesn’t matter. It will always give you confidence if you score runs. So he was playing like that but when Suryakumar came in… he hit his first ball for four, then the second ball for four and came in with a licence to attack eveything),” Afridi said on Samaa TV.

“Body language is very important. You should appear confident even when you are taking a single, defending the ball or hitting a six. And the confidence he showed while hitting those big shots was superb. He entertained the crowd,” Afridi went on to add.

If Pakistan were able to defeat Hong Kong, then they will advanced to the Super 4 stage with a re-match against India on Sunday.
