In the recent episode of Backstage with Boria, Makhaya Ntini had nothing but praise for Virat Kohli. Many bowlers have talked about how they can get Kohli out, but Ntini has the most unique way to get him out.

He says the best way to get Kohli is by not sledging him and keeping him bored. Ntini says, “Don’t sledge Virat Kohli. Any bowler who sledges him will have to pay the price. If you don’t sledge and just let him be, he could get bored and make a mistake.”

Nitini has advised all South African bowlers to not sledge him at all. He says by sledging Kohli, bowlers play right into the hands of the batsman, as Kohli loves a challenge. Ntini further adds that if any bowler does sledge him, Kohli will be determined to make that bowler pay. By boring Kohli on field, the best chance to get him out will arise.

Makhaya Ntini believes that Andrich Nortje has the potential to be the Player of the Tournament in the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup. Ntini says that Nortje can run through any batting line up, but that can only happen with some changes. He claims Nortje’s length while bowling should be fuller and that can be changed with some coaching.

Ntini further adds that Nortje has the ability to win games single handedly for South Africa and South Africa will be one of the four semi finalists in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Ntini predicts the semi finalists will be hosts India, Pakistan, South Africa and India.

In preparation for the World Cup, South Africa will play a 5 match ODI series against Australia and then will travel to India for the World Cup. They will face Afghanistan and New Zealand in their warm up games. Their first match in the World Cup will be against Sri Lanka on 7th October.
