Mitchell Starc and his love affair with England or big matches for that matter, is unreal. Whenever there is a need for big performances, Starc puts his hands up and does the job for Australia. The left-arm pacer showed what he can do during England’s second innings of the third Ashes Test

As England looked to chase 251 in their second innings to win the third Test, Starc ran through the opposition’s batting lineup and kept his team well alive in the contest. Starc claimed the big wickets as he dismissed Ben Duckett, Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, and Harry Brook, all at crucial junctures of the game.

While Mitchell Starc got Duckett and Ali in quick succession in the first hour of Day 4, the left-arm pacer sent back Stokes and Bairstow right after lunch to bring back Australia into the game. While Starc got Stokes strangled down the leg side, the Aussie pacer cleaned up Bairstow. These two dismissals opened the game for both teams. For his fifth wicket, Starc got well-set Brook.
