Even though Moeen Ali had played a crucial game for CSK last season which also helped the team lift the trophy, this IPL season isn’t a lucky one for him. First there were issues related to his visa.

And because of his visa issue, he has missed CSK’s first game against Kolkata Knight Riders in the season. Then in five matches, he scored only a small 87 runs at an average of 17.40. The English all-rounder hasn’t even picked up a wicket in all of his 8 overs he has bowled. In 2021, Moeen Ali had scored 357 runs with the bat and scalped 6 wickets with the ball.

CSK are placed at the ninth position which is followed by the five-time champions Mumbai Indians. The Men in Yellow will have to win at least 6 out of their next 7 matches to have a chance to make it to the playoffs.
