After clinching the Test series against Pakistan, Pat Cummins gave a befitting reply to Mohammad Hafeez, the Pakistan team director. On Friday (December 29), Cummins and his men restricted the visitors to 237, winning the match by 79 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the Boxing Day Test match that wrapped up in four days.

After the match, Hafeez declared his team played better than the hosts. Pakistan were slowly moving toward the 317-run target on the back of a partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha.

Right after Rizwan’s departure, the team lost the last five wickets for 18 runs. Pakistan faced their 16th consecutive Test defeat Down Under as they last won a Test in Australia way back in 1995. After the match, Cummins was asked about Hafeez’s claims, to which he said in the end his team won the match.

Ahh, Cool. They played well. I am glad we got the win. It doesn't matter, does it? It is the team who wins at the end.
