Mohammad Shami buys new Jaguar F-Type sports car worth Rs. 98.13 lakhs

Indian veteran pacer Mohammad Shami brings home a new red-coloured Jaguar F-Type sports car and added the luxury item to his garage. The ex-showroom price of the car purchased by him was worth Rs 98.13 lakhs.

The Jaguar F-Type car is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine which kicks out 295 bhp of power. The engine is also tuned with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The news of Shami’s buying the new Jaguar F-Type was shared via a LinkedIn post from Amit Garg’s account.

Shami, previously had brought a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in June and he had shared the pictures of the bike on his social media profile accounts. Shami and even MS Dhoni are not the well-known car enthusiast but they are known for owing a few good cars.

Mohammad Shami rested for West Indies series

Mohammad Shami was last seen in action when India had toured England. He scalped two wickets in the rescheduled fifth Test against England. In the ODI series, he picked up four wickets.

As team India will now lock-horns with West Indies in the first ODI today, July 22, Shami won’t be there since he has been rested for the series. All the ODI matches are set to be played at the Queen’s Park Oval. Team India is set to play three ODIs and five T20Is.

A few of the senior players in the likes of Virat Kohli, Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the entire West Indies tour. But skipper Rohit Sharma will only feature in the T20I series.

Opening batter Shikhar Dhawan is set to captain the ODI series in the absence of Rohit. KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav’s name have also been included in the squad but their availability in the matches is subject to fitness since both the players had sustained injury.
