WATCH: Bangladesh batter Mohammed Naim walks barefoot on FIRE weeks before Asia Cup
23 year old batsman goes through mind training, walks barefoot over embers in preparation of the Asia Cup and World Cup.

As all teams are preparing for the upcoming 2023 ODI Asia Cup, Bangladeshi batsman Mohammed Naim has been preparing for the competition in a different way. He has quite literally walked on fire.
An X user by the name of Saif Ahmed has posted a video of the 23 year old batsman, he was seen walking on fire. Apparently this is all a part of a “mind training” course that Naim is going through. In the video, he walks barefoot over hot embers as a few people watch him do it.
Mohammed Naim made his debut as a 19 year old in 2019 and since then has played 4 ODIs, 22 T20Is and one Test. Although his numbers in ODI aren’t that impressive, his performances in List A cricket have gotten him in the squad for the Asia Cup.

Tanzid Tamim earns maiden call up in the Bangladesh Squad
After impressive performances in the Emerging Stars Asia Cup, 22 year old Tanzid Tamim was called up to the Bangladesh squad for the first time in his career. Tanzid is a left handed batsman who opens for his domestic team. Tamim scored 3 half centuries in 4 matches, finishing the competition with 179 runs. He was called in the team as a replacement for the injured Tamim Iqbal.
Shakib Al Hassan is going to lead the Tigers in the upcoming Asia Cup, returning as ODI Captain after 12 years. Stars like Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mushfiqur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed will try their best to ensure Bangladesh have a good chance to compete for the Asia Cup and after that, the World Cup.
Bangladesh finished as runners ups in 2012, 2016 and 2018. They have not yet won any edition of the Asia Cup. Their best results in the ICC World Cup came in 2015, when they qualified to the quarter finals. They ultimately lost the match to India. Now they will aim to gain good results in the upcoming tournaments.
