Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has undergone hair transplant at a clinic based in Mumbai. Eugenix Hair Sciences, the clinic which Shami has visited, shared a video of him getting the treatment.
Shami was seen going through the process of the transplant and the doctor incharge, Dr. Pradeep Sethi, said that he had 4500 put from temples to crown. In the video, Shami was in frame with Dr. Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal. Dr. Sethi further said he expected Shami to be uncomfortable during the process, but he was laid back and co-operative.
About the treatment, Shami said that the staff were incredibly polite and the treatment process was really good. He was a bit afraid but there was no pain and the staff had helped him stay confident. Shami said now all he’ll do is wait and check out the progress. He made sure to take selfies with the staff of the clinic.
Mohammed Shami to play first international game in over 3 months
Mohammed Shami last played for India in the 2021-23 World Test Championship finals held in early June. He was rested for the tour of West Indies and was not selected in the 3 T20Is held in Ireland.
Shami is known for his seaming abilities, pace and accuracy. He has been a mainstay in India’s Test team since his debut in 2013 and in the ODI team since 2014. He is the fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in ODI.
In 89 innings, Shami has taken 162 wickets averaging 25.98. He made his debut in 2013 against Pakistan where he picked up one wicket, but was very economical. Shami hails from Uttar Pradesh, but plays for the Bengal Cricket team in the domestic circuit.
Shami will have an integral role in the upcoming 2023 Asia Cup and the 2023 OI World Cup.
