Mohammed Shami was hailed by fans after his incredible performances in the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he picked up 24 wickets in seven matches. Playing through injury, he became one of the most loved players in the world.

Unfortunately, Mohammed Shami has once again been publicly attacked by his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. On a post on Instagram, she spoke about how she was unfairly treated by the government as she is Muslim. She referenced the domestic abuse case she had lodged against the pacer in 2018. Jahan further claimed that Shami, with the help of the BJP and police, will murder her.

In a lengthy post on instagram, the former model further claimed the Alipore courts were corrupted and were not providing justice. She wanted to take the case to the Supreme Court for that reason.

Gujarat Titans name former Mumbai Indians pacer as Mohammed Shami replacement

Mohammed Shami played the entire 2023 ODI World Cup with an ankle injury, taking painkillers to ensure he was available for his nation. After the World Cup, he missed India’s tour of South Africa, and eventually decided to undergo surgery in London.

This meant the pacer would miss the 2024 Indian Premier League, where he would have played an integral part. In the last two seasons, he had picked up 48 wickets, and so finding a replacement for him was tough, but the Titans decided to rope in Sandeep Warrier to replace him.

In 72 T20s, Warrier has picked up 63 wickets with an average of 28/04. He has played only five IPL matches in his IPL career, representing Kolkata Knight Riders. In 2023 he was picked by Mumbai Indians but didn’t play a single match.

In case you missed!
