The high-octane clash of the fierce arch-rivals of cricket, India and Pakistan, were scheduled to lock horns on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. But as the first day of Navratri also starts on October 15, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are contemplating rescheduling the match.
“Since October 15 coincides with the opening day of Navratri celebrations, the security agencies have advised that the big game, which will also need heavy deployment of security officials should be rescheduled,” a BCCI source told PTI. The match, however, won’t be moved out of Ahmedabad.
As per reports, the match day could be on October 14, a day before the original schedule. If this happens, then fans’ vexation will only increase. Those who booked hotels in Ahmedabad were dealing with skyrocketing prices. There were reports that many fans booked beds in hospitals in Ahmedabad to deal with the high hotel prices.

Fans react after reports of rescheduling of India-Pakistan match emerges
The BCCI has organized a meeting with the state associations that are hosting the World Cup matches on July 27. They may discuss the potential rescheduling of the India-Pakistan match in the meeting.
The highly anticipated ICC ODI World Cup 2023, will be held in the months of October and November in India. The showpiece event will kick start with the last edition’s finalists, England and New Zealand, on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India’s first match is against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan will play its first match on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
