“Whole team is parody!”- Twitter slam CSK as MS Dhoni returns as captain after Ravindra Jadeja’s resignation

Chennai Super Kings have given a glimmer of hope to the yellow army fans with the announcement that MS Dhoni will be handovered the captaincy responsibilities after Ravindra Jadeja relinquished the position.

Jadeja wants to focus more on his game because his game has suffered a lot due to the leadership responsibilities. In eight games, the all-rounder has taken five wickets and scored only 112 runs so far.

“Jadeja took this decision to focus and concentrate more on his game and has requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK,” said CSK in a statement.
“Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game,” the statement further added.

MS Dhoni will captain CSK’s next match against SRH

MS Dhoni had remained CSK’s captain until in this year’s IPL edition when he stepped down to handover it to Jadeja and shocking the whole cricket fraternity. MS Dhoni has led the ‘Men in Yellow’ to their fourth IPL trophy last year by beating Kolkata Knight Riders.

CSK have lost their six games out of eight and are currently ninth in the 10-team tournament. They will lock-horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next match on Sunday with Yellow Army’s favourite captain MS Dhoni.

“In an ideal world, till 2020, it was Raina who was always the natural successor to Dhoni having led whenever he has been injured. But when he lost form and was released, CSK didn’t have a second line of leadership ready,” told an IPL insider to PTI on conditions of anonymity.

“For the record, Jadeja had only led Saurashtra once, that too at junior level 14 years back.”

Another BCCI insider said: “Look, nothing happens in CSK without MSD’s approval. He is the first, second, third and last word when it comes to cricketing matters. Doesn’t matter who captains the side.”

If MS Dhoni decides to quit the position next year, it’ll be interesting to see who will agree to lead the team.
