The former skipper said while working in Railways in Kharagpur, he got a grasp of Bengali and understands it very well. So during the Bangladesh match, he was able to know the plan of the bowler when the latter was taking suggestions from the keeper.

Interestingly, once, we were playing a match in Bangladesh, and they didn't know that I understood Bengali. Their keeper was suggesting something to the bowler, so I already knew what he would bowl.
Dhoni said during a recent event in Bengaluru.

He added:

So, once the match ended, they were talking among themselves, and seeing my reaction, they were like, 'He understands Bengali'.
