For the past few days, there have been reports of MS Dhoni approaching a Ranchi court to file a lawsuit against his former business partners. Aarka Sports CEO Mihir Diwakar allegedly did not pay the cricketer INR 15 crore and breached a contract. Dhoni and Aakra Sports collaborated in 2017 to establish cricket academies in different Indian cities.
Diwakar then gave an interview to a local news channel, blaming Dhoni for ruining the company’s reputation with false allegations. He also shared a long post on X (formerly Twitter) to defend the company.
Diwakar and his wife Soumya Das then went to the high court to protect their reputation, seeking a permanent injunction and damages against Dhoni and media houses. The plaintiffs want to take down the cheating allegations published on sites like Google, YouTube, X, and Meta.
