MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the best keepers in the world. His work behind the stumps is one many upcoming wicket keepers have looked up to and have tried to copy his unorthodox technique.

One can expect MS Dhoni’s glovework to decline with age, but the Indian legend doesn’t stop himself from keeping with the same standards from years ago. During Chennai Super Kings home fixture with Gujarat Titans, he took a stunner to dismiss Vijay Shankar

During the 8th over of the match, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad gave the ball to Daryl Mitchell. On his third ball, he bowled a delivery full and Shankar went to drive it. Instead he edged it to first slip. The 42-year-old MS Dhoni dived over 2.27 meters to his right and took an incredible catch.

Fans on social media couldn’t stop praising the former Indian captain. They praised his incredible keeping skills, calling him the best wicket-keeper of all time. Some also remarked on how he was taking incredible catches despite being 42.

Ruturaj Gaikwad wins 2nd consecutive match as captain

Ever since becoming CSK captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad has not lost a single match. Playing both matches at home, he led CSK to victories against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans. In the first game, he restricted RCB to only 173 and the batting order chased it with ease. In his 2nd game, CSK beat the 2023 IPL runners-up by 63 runs.

This win puts CSK at the top of the IPL table, with a high Net Run Rate of 1.979. The win also continues the trend of the home teams winning each game. In the seven matches played so far, none of the visiting teams managed to win a single match. Now on 27th, Mumbai Indians try to be the first visiting team to win a match this season as they play Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
