MS Dhoni to captain CSK in 2023? CEO Kasi Viswanathan reveals BIG update on Dhoni’s future

After a poor season in 2022, Chennai Super Kings will look forward for a better season in the Indian Premier League in 2023. For the second time in the IPL’s history, CSK failed to qualify for the playoff this year.
CSK captain MS Dhoni stepped down from captaincy position just two days before the start of the IPL. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was made the captain but the Yellow Army faced consecutive defeats in the first half. Dhoni then took up the job again in the second half.
Jadeja only played two matches under Dhoni before being ruled out of the rest of the season because of bruised rib. Jadeja’s stint with the CSK franchise is still doubtful but Dhoni will continue to lead in IPL 2023 in confirmed.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed about the same that Dhoni will continue to lead the side in IPL 2023 as well. This isn’t a surprise for CSK fans because he had told during this year’s IPL about his leading the team next year also. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, CSK have won four titles.
“There is no change in our stance. We never said that there will be a change. Dhoni will continue as the captain for IPL 2023 as well”, CEO Kasi Viswanathan told.
Ravindra Jadeja’s update will be a huge news for the fans but so far, there hasn’t been an official word from the franchise. Last month’s report by The Times of India stated that Jadeja hasn’t been in touch with the franchise since IPL 2022.
He has even removed all the CSK related posts from his Instagram. Also, recently, he deleted a heartfelt message to CSK on Twitter.
