Chennai Super Kings Pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar ripped through Pakistan’s batting lineup in the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup. The quick righty took a fifer in his 8 overs with his wickets ranging from the top order to the tail. Courtesy Hangargekar’s fifer, Team India A restricted arch-rivals Pakistan to 205 all out in their 48 overs. His 5-wicket haul also included a double-wicket maiden.

Hangargekar made his IPL debut this year by representing MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener against the Gujarat Titans. He has played two IPL matches so far and picked up 3 wickets in the process. Hangargekar also possesses powerful shot-making abilities, making him a good fit in the side.

Rajvardhan Hangargekar was also a part of the 2022 U19 World Cup winning team. Post his impressive performances in the tournament, he was picked up by CSK in the auction for 1.5 CR INR. In India A’s match-up against Pakistan A, Hangargekar gave away 42 runs in his 8 overs, picking up 5 wickets at an economy of 5.25. He is the first Indian to bag a five-wicket haul in this year’s Emerging Asia Cup.
