“MS must’ve scored some runs again,” Jimmy Neesham shares hilarious tweet after MS Dhoni’s antics against RR
Referring to the same, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham shared a hilarious tweet on Thursday.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni played a beautiful little cameo during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday. Dhoni scored an unbeaten 32 off just 17 balls to keep CSK alive in a tricky chase. Although Dhoni could not power CSK to victory, his few sixes were enough to set social media on fire.
Fans went crazy after seeing a 41-year-old, dispatching bowlers into the stands without breaking a sweat. Dhoni hit three sixes in his inning. It could have been a perfect night for his fans had he hit Sandeep Sharma for another six on the last ball of the match. Nevertheless, it did not happen just like Dhoni could not win it for India during the 2019 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand.
None can forget that runout when Dhoni fell short of his crease by a few yards. Had Dhoni survived, India might have won as the wicketkeeper batter could have easily taken on Jimmy Neesham who was to bowl the last over, as per MS Dhoni’s fans. However, it did not happen and a debate around the same, what if, continues.
Every time Dhoni scores runs, social media is set abuzz and among thousands of fans, at least a few hundred bring up this 2019 debate. Referring to the same, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham shared a hilarious tweet on Thursday.
“Woke up to another 100 tweets about how I should’ve lost the World Cup semifinal 4 years ago. MS must’ve scored some runs again,” tweeted Neesham.

Dhoni rolls back the years!
While Neesham saw the funny side of these tweets, he would have loved watching Dhoni on Wednesday. The CSK captain was hitting sixes as cleanly as they could come. Dhoni played in his usual style where he takes the game deep and puts pressure on the opposition.
Although that tactic did not work this time, the former India captain surely gave nostalgia to many of his fans with his batting. Unlike the last few seasons, Dhoni looked good against wrist spinners.
