Lalit Modi was the founder and first chairman of the Indian Premier League. He made his relationship with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen official on Thursday, July 14. This took fans by sudden surprise, sending them into a frenzy.
He posed with the beauty queen in a couple of pictures and shared it with the caption:
“Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families- not to metion my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47- a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon,” Lalit Modi tweeted.

When fans asked whether they have secretley marries, Modi clarifies it with another post. He wrote: “Just for clarity. Not married- just dating each other. That too it will happen one day.”

Sushmita Sen broke up with Rohman Shawl
On December last year, Sushmita announced her break up with Rohman Shawl on Instagram with the captions: “We began as friends, we remains friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!!”
While Lalit Modi was married to Minal Modi who passed away four years ago after battling cancer. They had tied knot in 1991.
Sushmita Sen is single mom to daughters Alisah and Renee. She adopted Renee in 2000 and Alisah joined the family in 2010.
Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She made her Bollywood debut in 1996 film Dastak. She aslo featured in other films such as Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Naa, Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and No Problem. She also made her acting comeback with the international Emmy-nominated web-series Aarya. She was last seen in Aarya 2.
Speaking to India Today, Sushmita’s brother Rajeev Sen said: “I am pleasantly surprised too. I will speak to my sister about this.”
