His work during India matches and the IPL made him iconic. His one-liners, often known as “Sidhuisms,” were very popular and Ten Sports even made a website. The website posted one quote everyday, calling it the “Sidhuisms of the day”.
Since 2014, he was not a part of any commentary teams, focusing on his political career instead. Sidhu was a part of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. He also was the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of Punjab.

Now with 10 years away from the microphone, Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to make his comeback. Star Sports announced that he was set to join for the 2024 IPL, with his first match being the IPL opener between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
