India spearhead Mohammed Siraj recorded his best figures when he bundled out West Indies for 255 runs with his five-wicket haul on Sunday (July 23) at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. He achieved this feat in the second and last Test series against the hosts.

Siraj bowled 23.4 overs, conceded 60 runs at an economy of 2.54. West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva became his first wicket and scored just 10 runs from 26 balls. Later Jason Holder edged the ball to keeper Ishan Kishan off Siraj’s delivery, heading back to the dressing room for 15 runs off 44 balls.

Siraj would then finally send Alzarri Joseph (four or 12 balls) to packing after repeatedly aiming for the stumps. A few overs later, it was Kemar Roach (four off 13 balls) who tried to whack his length ball only to get an outside edge with Kishan doing his duty again behind the stumps. On the next ball, he wrapped up West Indies’ first innings when he dismissed Shannon Gabriel for a golden duck.
